What is Lip Blushing?

Lip Blushing is a Semi Permanent Cosmetic tattoo which enhances the natural color and shape of lips.  The lip blushing technique is created by a procedure called pixilations.  Pigment is deposited with a fine needle creating pixels, giving the lips a transparent affect.  Layers upon layers are slowly build until the desired density is achieved.

How long does it last?

Lip Blushing can last  1-3 years depending on skin type and  life style, however annual enhancement is recommended to increase its longevity.

Will I need more than 1 appointment?

Usually a minimum of 2 appointments will be needed to achieve ideal lip color.  In many cases the 1st appointment will be used to neutralize the lips and once that is achieve a target color can be applied.

Does it hurt?

Every client has a different pain tolerance.  As the lip is very sensitive, if you have your period, it is not recommended to do the treatment as your senses are hightened and you will be more sensitive and will bleed more.  You can take Tylenol before your appointment to minimize the pain if youd like.

Please note, if you suffer from cold sores, the chances of getting an outbreak after Lip Blushing is higher.  It is recommended that you take antivirals a couple days before your appointment and also after your treatment to minimize outbreaks.  If you do have a Cold Sore outbreak, chapped or cracked lips, or acne around the lip area please make sure to reschedule your appointment.

If you have had fillers or would like to get fillers in your lip, please make sure you wait 4 wks before your treatment or 4 wks after your treatment for fillers.
